Doesn't Yui have a nice living room? It's a good thing too, since we spend like five hours there.
Summary: The X-Men spend an awfully long time sitting on the couch chatting, Sasaki Yui and Prof. X have one of the most patently ridiculous conversations I’ve ever seen in my life, and Wolverine takes a page out of Storm’s book and forgets what his powers do. I would say things are deteriorating fast, but they’ve kind of been deteriorating at a real steady rate all along, honestly.
You know, I would love to be able to link you to someone else’s Deviant Art page and pin the responsibility on them, but no, I totally bothered to do this.
Notice that Hisako is powered up when the X-Men are attacked initially, but then depowers at some point once the battle with the U-Men starts. Whatever, I just hate going into battle with my completely impregnable battle armor too.
Summary: What is this, I don’t even…okay, this episode. Hisako continues to mostly outperform Storm and Wolverine in combat for no reason, the X-Men continue to have great difficulty with the “the U-Men have analyzed your powers and are using them against you” concept, and everything I thought I understood about the whole secondary mutation/DHS thing is kind of thrown out the nearest window and into the snow. Lots of snow. On the plus side, Beast does stuff.
I would make some joke about Cyclops and Emma hooking up soon, but I was too creeped out by Cyclops slapping Hisako around in the Danger Room in this episode to go anywhere near that topic. I propose a moratorium on all sex jokes involving Cyclops...for at least the next week and a half.
Summary: In the best episode thus far, Hisako punches Cyclops in the face several times, and really, what else matters? Well, I suppose everyone who was getting yuri vibes from Hisako and Emma’s relationship can now get thoroughly heterosexual, but much more disturbing, vibes from Cyclops/Hisako, since they are both way, way too passionate about pushing each other’s buttons. Oh, and Storm is horrendously out of character in yet another way.
